Description
These 2 ingredient monster truffles are the easiest no-bake Halloween treat around! Made with just Oreos and cream cheese, then dipped and decorated into spooky little monsters. Perfect for kids, class parties, bake sales and any spooky event.
Ingredients
For the truffle base:
- 1 standard pack Oreos (13.29 oz)
- 1 block cream cheese (8 oz)
For decorating:
- Candy melts or melted chocolate
- Candy eyeballs
- Sprinkles
- Halloween-themed candy and decorations of your choice
Instructions
- Add the whole pack of Oreos, cream filling and all, into a food processor and blend until finely ground up. Make sure they are really finely ground before adding anything else.
- Add the block of cream cheese and blend until everything is combined and the mixture starts forming one giant ball.
- Using about 2 tablespoons of mixture per ball, roll the mixture into even-sized balls. You should get around 20 truffles.
- Place the rolled balls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and pop them in the fridge for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- Take the truffles out of the fridge and dip them in melted candy melts. Because the truffles are cold, the candy melts will harden fast, so decorate quickly!
- Decorate with candy eyes, spooky sprinkles and any fun Halloween candy while the coating is still wet. Let set and serve.
Notes
Because these are made with cream cheese, store them in an airtight container in the fridge and enjoy within a few days.
Roll and chill the truffle bases ahead of time, then dip and decorate closer to your event so they look their freshest.
Work in small batches when dipping, keeping the rest in the fridge, so the candy coating stays workable.
These are perfect for little hands to help decorate. No hot oven means kids and toddlers can join in the fun!
